200th anniversary of the arrival of John McIntosh to Canada. He is credited with discovering the Red McIntosh apple though should not be confused with the American, Johnny 'Appleseed' Chapman.

Jumping the gun a little but... 25th anniversary of the '72 Canada/Russia series - a hugely significant childhood memory for me. Henderson for the HOF! Just got this little gem on Monday. She's a beauty. Proof 10th anny. Don't have a picture of my Oh Canada set flying loon handy but hopefully someone will post one.

I don't think the strike is any worse than any of the other years. It is definitely less of a mirror finish, and has a bit of toning, which may have thrown the scan off.

1997 Flying Loon specimen strike The scanner didn't like the obverse of this at all. Tried to scan the 1997 Ottawa numismatic BU strike, but would not scan in colour.

Very interesting. I have no idea what it is (real or fake) but I like it. But there is no way I'd pay anything close to a fraction of 55K for it though.

1998 Loon Numismatic BU: My scanner does not like these. I also wanted to show a 1998 W Loon which refused to be scanned in colour.

Even though there are two for 1999, I'll give the proofs a break (since no one seems interested). But here is another non-loon. 1999 Multi-ply plated steel test token (sometimes called the $1 test token)
