2008 had both a regular loon and an Olympic loon in circulation.

Don't have the regular loon.

Here's the Olympic loon (ICCS MS66):
44-Days-Of-Loonacy!

44-Days-Of-Loonacy!

The dark patches on the Queen's face appear (in hand, under magnification) to be some sort of gap in the overall frosting effect. Whether this was intentional I have no idea.

Hi eastvanrob
I looks like you love the loon as much as I do.
Yours look great and you take way better pictures then I do.

Did you send your loons in to ICCS or did you pick them up like that.
None of mine are graded but I had thought about it.
But.... I spent the money on loons
I believe I have one of every loon coin made NCLT , specimen and circulation.
I have a list of all the loons around here somewhere I would like a second opinion to see if I've missed any.

Keep them coming

In answer to Falcon's questions:

- Pictures are scans on an Epson Stylus CX4600, which came with a cheapo photo editing program. I use this program to brighten the scans slightly, and then crop the JPGs. The scans show details better, but don't show the lustre properly.

- All these coins purchased off ebay already in holders.
