Anyone read Simon Black's stuff? (aka Sovereign Man www.sovereignman.com)

He has some interesting opinions on PMs and I'd appreciate hearing someone else's take on his news letters.

Well, he advocates holding PMs outside of your home country in the case of confiscation. He also comments on the best places to buy low-primium gold and other long-term asset classes. But it is a lot of "a little here, a little there" type of information. I couldn't exactly point to one place for his opinions on things.

Thus my interest in seeing if anyone pays him any heed.

To me thats horrible advice. If youre that worried about that hide it somewhere you can get to but confiscation is no reason to hide it over seas. So basically you have it, have no way to get to it, buying and selling will be 100 times more complicated, and if SHTF itll be completely worthless.

Yea, I agree. What's the point of keeping it over seas. And if there was a confiscation there would be a lot of bigger problems in this country. People wont just give up their pms. They wouldnt really know who had them to begin with.

Those who advocate storing gold overseas because they do not trust the US government not to steal it have only compounded the problem by bringing a 2nd government into the mix. If one is bad how can two be better?

I agree with those who want to hold their own property in their own hands and hide it in select locations where they can get to it easily at need. That makes a lot more sense to me than putting it some place where you may not be able to get to it.
