Recently I've hit 75oz of .999 silver. That is pretty good for me. But since silver has went up to almost 32oz, I decided to take a break from it and continue working on my silver dollar set. I'm going to try and get all the key dates, in VF-20 or higher. The 1948 is going to be the last one I'm going to get, due to the price.

This is going to be my silver dollar thread. I will update it whenever I get a new silver dollar. Right now I have 1960, 1962, 1967, 1953, 1964, 1965, 1937, 1935, 1938, 1950 (ARN).

I agree, time to take a break. While I have hundreds of ounces and really want to wait until silver prices abate, how do you stop yourself from buying? My friends are right, I spend too much new money on old money. Sparkly, pretty, need to have...some one stop me!!

I quite like it when the silver price goes up.
All the "Good stuff" comes out of the woodwork with people trying to cash in on the higher silver price.
I have acquired some great coins at great prices because the market gets flooded with coins at these times.
High silver prices = good pickings for collectors

I agree coincollect, I took advantage of the drop in silver to add to my stack, but with the current upward climb and the premium pushing the buy price @ my local shops to $36 an ounce, it's too steep for me. Guess I'll save up for the next coin show and add to my non bullion collection.
