Why do some Post Offices have lots of coins on display and others next to nothing? I assume some POs sell more coins than others, but shouldn't it be standard practice to keep the displays filled up with product? Is it that some in-store PO employees can't be bothered "stocking the shelves" or the Post Office itself has trouble with getting product from the Mint?

The Wood Bison now appears twice:

2011 1/2oz Silver Coin - they were 4 coins (issued together if I not mistaken): Orca, Bison, Peregrine and Boreal Forest.

2013 1oz Silver Coin - the 6-th coin of the Canada Wildlife Series (SML). It suppose to be issued these days - I see that CA already has it as "Pre-sale".

Initially I spoke about Wood Bison - part of the 1/2oz series, that I bought for 25% discount.

Just then it was single "Wood Bison" coin, and now, the bullion added.

You right - forgot it - since this is more "fun" like to me - to collect the circulated packs and coins...

But more - I forgot the "2011 Sterling Silver 3 Coins Set - Our Legendary Nature", in which Wood Bison appears, the same design as on circulated quarter, but this is sterling silver Proof quarter..

I found some 2004 Uncirculated sets, a couple 2005 Silver Alberta and Saskatchewan coins, and Notre Dame hologram at a local PO. Another one had a pile of 2010 Olympic stuff, a Montreal Canadiens set, some Blue Whales, and Square $3 Orca. All at issue price. Alas, no Coloured Birds....

We have 2 PO's in our town and both carry next to nothing. As far as the 2013 1 OZ Bison coin, CA had 65 in stock, less two!!

I decided to try my hand at hunting some less traveled PO outlets in my area this morning. I found the grosbeak coins, a Titanic collector set, a 2013 GITD dino and met a manager of an outlet who became my new best friend. She let me order from the April catalogue (hopefully they let get stock of the stuff I ordered) and checked back issues of catalogues for stock numbers to check for old stock in the system.

I didn't score anything outstanding, just stuff to supplement my collection without paying a premium.
