This really annoys me, the problem is that most Archaeologists are not practical people but academics
Yes--academics can get a little isolated, but most archaeologists I've known work in the field, and they're pragmatic and logical--they're not suggesting only ET could build the Giza pyramids. Anyway--it's a bit OT.

Oh, I was in tears.... "willey nilly" buy coins. I can just see Steve scrolling down the screen, clicking wildly on any and all ancient coins for sale.

So far there have only been ten (10) coins entered in this Smackdown. Are there no others out there? If we don't get much more participation than this, perhaps we should discontinue the Smackdowns? I, for one, would hate to see that happen. So, C'mon. Get those coins out and show them off.

I think the smackdowns have been a lot of fun--I just don't have any coins that qualify this time.

I'm finished with the competitions. I'm happy to post images and answer questions when I can but running that last one after I won took all the fun out of it for me and I see no need for the voting.
