ebay didn't stink today! Got a nice little haul of so-so coins and this delightful little bargain: http://www.ebay.com/itm/MORTOWN-Con...t_1017wt_998sorry for the link, it's the kind of ebay pic that I don't know how to save. The Trier ones are a bit rarer (or is it more rare?) than the others and usually get priced quite a bit higher than $7, even for coins in worse shape. As a bonus, the obverse is in great shape with the legend clear enough to notice the oddly placed gap at one o'clock. Then I noticed the internatinoal ebay sites...game on! The international ones seemed a bit steep though, at least for the ones I was looking at. I have to say the Germans had the best looking Constantines and the prices, while high, were not insultingly so for the most part. Plus my RIC is now in transit and if I am lucky there will be two or three coins sitting in my mailbox tonight. Anyone else having a good ancient coin day? I hope so.

Excellent coin for the money. When I started collecting, wasn't long before I saw one of those posthumous coin and had to have one. lol
Unfortunately for me, I won't be having any good coin days for awhile. Maybe, I might get one next month.

Ah, thanks jwharper, can't imagine why I didn't figure it out. Maybe I'm just coin-drunk. I swear off buying coins till the following payday all the time, with mixed results. I did get two coins in the mail today, but the joy faded when I opened the door and saw what my dog did to my house. Blinds ruined, coatrack on the floor along with everything that was on every end table and flat surface between the door and kitchen, xbox on the floor, tv perilosly close to falling over and her magnum opus...the female dog *cough* got onto the counter and rolled the pickle jar containing bacon drippings off the counter and on to the adjoining table where, by chance, my open coin binder lay wide open on the page of my beloved posthumous Constantine I's. Once the jar lay imobilized in the inner spine of the binder, she got it open. Good times for her ensued, which ironically led to some very bad times for her once I saw it. Ugh. The little mutt did this to my door a few days ago. I never knew it was possible to rupture a doorknob. Jeez. Anyone want a dog?

Coins are fine, thanks to my being anal and having snug flips inside of the page slots. Some Lysol 4-in-1 took care of it in a couple of minutes. I see the humor in it, but am still mad at the dog. Blinds are not cheap and I am about to replace 3. Nothing more expensive than a free dog.

if that is the pic of your dog, I can just about read his mind in that picture. "Oh boy, I'm havin' fun now. Wanna play?"

Heh heh, that pic was taken a few days before. She's a good dog and I know it is my own fault for letting her be in the house alone. Can't get too mad at a dog for being a dog.

It's a fairly simple solution. Get a decent sized cage for the dog. When you ain't there or at night, put the dog in there. Or put the dog outside for a few hours. Better than getting everything chewed up.

True, I need a kennel. Only got her a week ago. She has a cable runner outside but keeps slipping her harness and it has been raining pretty much since June. Time to look into fencing materials I suppose.

I bet you that's why the previous owners got rid of the dog. They probably couldn't get the dog under control since it was a puppy.

No it was my former stepmom's. My dad hates hair on things and doesn't like dogs. The dog has been living outside for her whole life, only let into the entry way on the coldest nights. When the lady left she left the dog behind. My dad was going to kill the dog if nobody took her because he thinks the pound is cruel. I don't generally care for dogs, but I always felt sorry for this one because all she wants is to please ssomebody and get attention every now and then. I think I'll be gone too much to use a kennel, so I guess I better start digging post holes before the ground freezes. That fence isn't going to build itself.
