Quote: Moe, I am acting as the Aaron to your Moe-ses. SUCH FUN! But, 40 years of Manna ahead? That's desert grubs! Nutritious, but I have run out of recipes to prepare them. Grubs in the morning, grubs at noon and grubs for the evening meal. The kids are complaining, "Grubs, AGAIN?" The wife remains silent, but she turns away from me at night when I .... Any help? ANY suggestions? You have to branch out and explore your inner grub... Like I, Moe-bba always say: Grubs is the fruit of the desert. You can barbecue 'em, boil 'em, broil 'em, bake 'em, saute 'em. Dey's uh, grub-kabobs, grub creole, grub gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple grubs, lemon grubs, coconut grubs, pepper grubs, grubs soup, grub stew, grub salad, grub and potatoes, grub burger, grub sandwich. That- that's about it. There's no way this can fail... Anything else I can help you with?

1887 Here is one of several on my "to be upgraded" list. They say that the camera adds ten pounds to a person. And shows every little scratch on a coin.

A completely gratuitous rant. I sent these pics to my sister with the advice/warning/brotherly offering: "Is quantity worth more than quality?" She understood. I expect that you all do too. Ten 1886 Nickels - Buy it now $1099. or a single 1886 for $550. I wish I found it yesterday. Would have matched the correct day.

I like the lamination on your '87 Cippy... Too bad the TPG's consider that a flaw and not a feature.... I have an AU Hawaiian Cent that gets a "details" grade because of the lamination in the copper. PG

cipster, It got mighty quiet here on Friday and Saturday. I thought that there would be a few more 1887s here already. Tough going between now and until we reach 1899. These nickels are NOT as easy to come by as many believe. Sure, 1900 to 1912 are easy. The 1883 no cents without question. But in between there were many lean years. Not just '85 and '86. For me, that is why I dusted off the set and have been seriously doing some upgrades this year. Five so far since May. And the dealers and pros who examine it say that the set ain't too shabby. Oh, all five deals were done in person: I traded the old and cash for the new one. Even the one with tape and the one which was corroded were accepted. (The '86 and the 12-S) Must prepare the '88 for tomorrow. I feel a poem coming on.

paleoguy45, A very sweet coin! Don't suppose you would do a trade with $$$, huh? And a rhyme, even if a bit forced, is music to my ears. I DO play keyboard - mostly Bach - I have three on Youtube - will send link to any who are interested.
