Two more Ancients from the collection I picked up... a really nice near mint state example of an Attic tetradrachm of Athens - Owl leaning right, two leaves and crescent moon. The second, an Aspendus Stater - wrestlers engaged - softer strike but great condition.

I would like to nominate this for the Best Topic Name of the Week Award, if there is one.

Very nice indeed - particularly like the two Aspendus Staters.

Aspendus is 10.89g and the Tetradrachm is 17.17 grams... I have these and the rest of the collection on the mullencoins.com site.

I looked at your coins on Mullincoins.com. I think you have some wonderful coins and I take it you are selling them. May I ask how you arrived at the prices being asked?

Might want to check the specs on the Attic - Tetradrachm of Athens on your website. Its listed as "171,17 grams." Quite a monster, if true.

Corrected the 171.17 grams... that would be a large one. As for prices, they are mostly based on auction results and other listings. I have researched all in some detail and I obviously know my cost for the total collection. Prices do change over time so I'm sure some are high and others are bargains. What I don't know is whether many should be submitted to NGC for grading. Welcome opinions on that.

Everyone here will tell you, and I agree, that I am cheap. Not including the non-Roman coins or the Roman Gold coins, I personally think your Roman coins are all overpriced. Perhaps there is something special about any one of them that might cause the price to be so high, but certainly not all of them. Have you compared them to like coins being sold at Vcoins or Numismall?

Certainly, I could be wrong on this, so if others care to add their 2 cents worth, it might help.

I welcome the opinions of all... my objective was to find outstanding examples in high grade and eye appeal.
