Yep. It is a great ideal. I might get one error coin for me. Hope they still have it in store.
Or the paint from the perfect coin might peels out after years. Who knows.

Thanks for picture. Never seen what really the issue is.
As I told, recently I bought one from the PO, as I thought, it could be the present. But I didn't look properly on it.
If it will be with the "error" - will keep it for myself.
In this case - will post a live picture at night.

Thanks BiBo, yes, I saw on your picture the paint missing on the several triangles. As I said - I took a look at mine coin. Well, I do not have "Rare error Two Loons", the paint is ok, so I have regular awesome coin. And here the pictures:   |

Just picked up a 2012 Two Loons Dollar at Shoppers PO outlet in Port Elgin.....They had an excellent selection including the new Silver Penny

Just got an email today that my Two Loons has been shipped. I think I ordered this back in June? Can't remember it was so long ago. The other sad thing was that this was the first coin I ordered for the purpose of flipping it. Around that time they were going for almost $200 on ebay, but I just checked and they are going for around issue price now. Yay! Oh well, it's a nice coin, guess I'm keeping it! |

2012 Two Loons Coin available on RCM Website again, guess its no longer sold out. Just called Canada Post, I ordered one from them back in May, received an order number, appeared my order went through, been waiting for 5 months, but when I called them today about my order from back in May I was told the coin was sold out and all gone. Luckily I found one 2 weeks ago at a Shoppers Drug Mart PO outlet sitting on the shelf..... |

Thanks Tender48, I just ordered another one. I'm assuming the latest batch is of better quality than earlier ones? Hope that is the case because the one I have is nice, but you can still see some very minute paint issues.

What is the Mint doing these days? Sold out coins become available again?! I feel bad for that individual who paid 199$ for this coin on ebay. Hope he/she didn't see this thread. |

I'm pretty sure that the Mint had these listed as 'sold out' and now they are available again?!? There are just over 100 available on the mint.ca right now.  That is deceptive and as was said, those who paid premiums because the Mint said they were sold out have every right to be PO'ed. That said, I cancelled one two weeks ago. Maybe 100 other people got tired of waiting too. And, they bring these coins back from the dead but don't highlight them. You need to search pretty deeply to find it. Just stupid. |
