Here we can have some fun with not only the weird old under the radar companies that are thick, and everyone that has one of that particular company thinks its the best of the best of the ultra rare, when in fact Engelhard and J@M both out of Canada started wisely not long after 1965 are the top dogs acknowledged by the top collectors. Wonder why 1965 George, lol).... Try and find two more rare bars then this, first in this big old Academy 37.9 and secondly on the ultra rare English four bar set, which represents the four English cities/mints listed on each of the four 100 gram bars. This set is running on bay, up over 1200 already.... Last here is a running auction for Doc platinum, I am sure many of you have seen his auctions. This one here is way high at 2090 dollars, but it is four tough bars, in the 3,4,5, and 7 Maple Leaf JMC bar.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/26109205818....m1438.l2649 Got any other good examples, lets ses them.... Oh I can show you some neat examples because I used to collect old pours and owned some crazy looking bars, we are talking about multiple 4 oz bars that are shaped like Nevada (forgot the maker), weird JM and Engelhards, etc. But I sold all of that and am too lazy to look for the pic :)

Just how does the term "uncirculated" relate to bars? I find that funny...uncirculated to me means you are the FIRST person to own the bars from the manufacturer. If you "believe" them to be uncirculated means you aren't the first owner so by default they are circulated. I have to laugh at how people try and use flashy words to deceive (not just others, but themselves) into thinking they have something more than they really have.

Yes my mistake, as those two companies were ordered to start making bars in 1965, and they had already long since been in existence.....
If you read the description in Doc Platinum's link it tells all about that, hence where I had gotten the info....

And on the un-circulated point by Unholly, I think with old pour bars most all collectors could care less and never even apply that term to a piece. An old bar is raw and scratched often where some paranoid owner had to do a deep scratch and give themselves that piece of mind that it is indeed silver.....
The uglier the better often with these old pours, uneven or whatever I love them....
So being circulated or not is really irrelevant....
Now with the modern conformed perfect shinny new bars, maybe most like that look, but in time silver dulls always and it never keeps that fresh out of mint luster. I notice that with Scottsdale stackerz, as they kind of turn orange in time....
Maybe some of the high end frosted items will hold their beauty over the decades, but even them in time they will lose their luster, so what it is what it is....

Quote: The uglier the better often with these old pours, uneven or whatever I love them.... Maybe they will make a "cow pie" bar, just for you, Hawk. They could do this by letting the silver cool until it is just a few degrees above its melt temp and then slowly pour it onto a cool surface. It would solidify almost at ones, leaving a nice little pile of silver. You have to admit, it WOULD be unique!
