I thought id try some cent boxes for Saturday and Sunday. Anyway I did $100 in cents and found around 22% 1959-1982 memorials as well as 46 wheats I'm more into silver but would like to maybe craigslist the memorials. The wheats I will keep.Anyone selling these and if so what are you getting per roll? $1.50 per roll too high?. I would like to use the proceeds to buy more silver coins.

i never get a hit on craigslist for them so I stopped even trying I now sell them on ebay the only reason its even worth my while is that I search cents anyway so I just through the copper into a separate pile so after fees and shipping I just sold $375 woth in 5 boxes of $75 each I got $160 over my costs so it was like free money but it also took 5 mths of collecting the copper lol

I am only holding, not selling. I do not think I will sell them, but if I do, it will be long term. My primary goal is to prevent them from being melted.

I've also tried selling them on craigslist and never had any luck, I've watched ebay and it seems to be hit or miss whether or not they'll sell.

How would you ship the rolls and about how much does it cost to ship one roll if you don't mind me asking

Its not worth it to sell them by the roll, when I sell them I sell them in lots of a minimum of $50 face. They ship in a medium flat rate box. You can fit at least $75 face in a medium flat rate box.

Hope you did not put all of the 1982 dated cents in the copper bin, not all were made out of copper that year of production.
I am still seperating and saving copper from zincsters. Zinc are returned to the bank. Believe my percentage is about same as yours - 22 to 25 percent.

I've sold a couple lots on ebay - nothing too big. The most recent sale ended up being $15 face for $45 less $5.15 shipping (small flat rate box - fits 30 rolls perfectly) and fees. Profited around $20 which puts a couple bucks in my paypal account, which in turn I buy solid date OBW rolls to search for varieties. I actually enjoy it and would love to scale it up a couple hundred percent (or even thousand) to see a real profit while stacking some for my kids to play with when they get older. I go through the zincs as well to search for varieties that I keep for the future too.
