I have been collecting a couple of years and tended towards shiny silver coins, but since I have started trying to photograph them the past week or so I have gained a new appreciation for toned silver. I think my buying habits going forward will show this. Here is a recent addition to my collection. I have posted it elsewhere, but my photography on this coin is evolving and I think this is my best shot of it so far.

That's an old bump. Nice batch of toners. That 1998 Proof Set is amazing, as is the 1945 cent.

Thank you. I am doing the toned date run of the 25 cents caribou quarters from 1937-1968 and the toned set of 50 cent pieces from 1937-1968. some toned cents and some toned boat dimes.

Some beautiful coins here lately, I especially like the 1945 quarter and 1899 fishscale.

4mile123: Very nice. I like your appreciation for superbly toned pieces or coin art as I like to call it. A rare combination of high grade and eye appeal. Thank you for sharing. I always look forward to your posts.
