Supply and demand,no formal grading necessary in the free market regardless if it's genuine or accelerated.

I have three more BC silver dollars in clamshells, all with similar rainbow toning, but this one is definitely the most appealing. It's hard to capture in a photo, so I tried one in lowlight with high ISO and one with flash enabled:

Actually, after looking at the others again, they had more rainbow in the toning, but this one was more even than the others.

A LOT of those BC dollars tone very nice. In fact, most of the 50% dollars do, but none as well as the BC ones!

@ CB the 1914 is nice but I'm not to keen on the artificial toning

artdio, how do you know it is artificial? If it's too pretty and uniform? I also like naturally aged toning; here is one I recently bought from Cam (a member here): http://www.auctiva.com/hostedimages...0,0&format=0 (do click on the "fit to screen" button on the left). As you can clearly see, this is well circulated. But the toning on any boxed and aged coin should look artificial, no?

Beautiful examples! I got this out of a bank tellers tray today...nothin' super special, but I love the deep purple! Had to be in someones collection though...in a flip or coin envelope at some time I would think. The pictures really don't do it justice...
