I have a 1970S that looks like the right "9" but a low 7.

It's in a plastic Mint set. The cello plastic type. I tried getting a good pic but the plastic produces too much glare.

Any thoughts on small dates being found in these sets.

This set has the 1970S cent, nickel, dime(clad), quarter(clad), a 1970 (P), and a white octogon shaped mint token.

Thanks!

I've not found one in a mint set, however, I was lucky enough to find one in a proof set. What does your Liberty look like?
Rest in Peace

It is possible to find them in a mint set. A few months ago I took a gamble and bought eight 1970 mint sets from a coin shop in hopes to find at least one. I found three. I returned to the shop and bought six 1970 proof sets and found one small date set. At some point I believe that I posted them within this forum.

Not sure if it was the 60 or 70 small date was issued early then changed. All my 70 small dates have weak "LIBERTY".

Albert

Many do show a weak liberty but not all.
So that one attribute is not completely reliable.

Hoosier

Even in the cello you should be able to tell.
Concentrate on the bottoms of the 7 and 0 (their alignment)
