Yep, "Persian numerals" have different symbols for 4, 5 and 6. The other numerals are the same as Arabic.
Iran and Afghanistan also use a different calendar to the lunar calendar the rest of the Islamic world uses, the Solar Hejira. Simply add 621 to convert SH to AD dates.
To confuse things even more, some coins from the last years of the Shah are dated in the ancient Persian calendar. See this old thread for some more examples.
