Hi all,
Long time no talk! I moved and have gotten everything settled, including my finances. Now I'm jumping back right in where I left off before. What do we think of the grade on this 1891-S? For the price I couldn't resist. As I've learned, bagmarks can be a problem for this variety, and this coin is no exception. It looks like it's been bag beaten to death, but it still appealed to me! Grade away!

Nice frosty original coin but the bag marks are a bit heavy on the cheek. I'm guessing this one might grade MS-62 at best.

I agree this will not grade higher than MS-62. If some of the marks in the prime focal areas are deep, then MS-61 may be in the cards.

I'm personally at the 61 mark myself. Great luster though.
