Hey, I promise this is the last coin for quite awhile ... uh, ummm ...
=> it is from the same dealer that sold me the previous bull-dolphin coin (yah, I think that it is another full-throttle winner!!)
... but be my judge ... King of Thrace Lysimachos AE 323 - 281 B.C AE 3,9g Obverse: young male head right in crested Corinthian helmet Reverse: BAΣIΛEΩΣ - ΛΥΣIMAXOΥ, lion leaping to right, monogram and spear-head beneath Other: nice green patina ... extremely fine => roar

Ummmm, for the record, yah sure I have only been collecting ancient coins for about 7 or 8 months and I've probably already spent close to $17,000 on ancient coins (whateva, don't judge me) ... => but honestly, that's kinda like one of my friends deciding to buy a new sled (snow-machine), so altough I realize that it is a whole lotta cash, I also realize that I've probaly used my investment more than he has "and" I'm sure that I've had more fun than him during the past year using it!! => so thanks guys!! Next year, I'll be a low-budget voyeaur!! Oh => plus, I am "hoping" that my investment will be a bit more lucrative than my buddy's?

A very nice coin. The lion is great and the spear head neat. The legend is clear. Congratulations!

Love that patina. It looks quite thick. Congrats and good luck on the wagon.

Another nice one! I like the ferocity of the lion. Back in 300 BC, lions were still living in Thrace.

Thanks echi => yes, I will soon have the world's greatest "animal coin" collection ... ummmm, I'm not sure if it'll ever be worth anything, but I'm positive that one of my future nieces or nephews will think "holy schmokes, uncle stevex6 is actually pretty cool" ....... yah, I would have loved flipping-through an old Greek coin album if I was kid (all I had was old National Geographics ... ummm, and I liked them for a different reason)
