Thanks, I will keep an eye out for them on ebay. I made the mistake of over paying somewhat for a British West Africa three pence recently, which has made me a bit more conscious of correct prices.

This is a commemorative 25 Pence for the Silver Jubilee of QEII's Reign. There are ointment bottle and anointing spoon on the reserve side, I know what they mean but who can tell the bird is a pigeon or an eagle? What does it stand for by using this animal? What not a lion?

Wonghinghi, is that really just a 25P piece? I was thinking that all of the royal commems were Crown/Pound/5 Pounders.

wonghinghi is correct, the Krause Catalog lists the coin as KM# 920 25 New Pence in copper-nickel (or KM# 920a in silver). And Krause is saying the bird is an Eagle

Not a very true-to-life rendering of the actual Coronation Ampulla:

But then, this 14th century rendering of an eagle wasn't very true-to-life, either!

One of my newest coins, the 2013 Silver Britannia.

http://i.imgur.com/BJMcuf8.jpg

The Royal Mint has started issuing this coin in .999 quality to tap into the bullion market. It means this coin is noticeably smaller than the previous Britannias which were about 95% pure and therefore had to be larger and heavier to still accommodate 1oz of silver.

Looking good Arg! But you'll have to take them out of the 2x2s to make the shield up 1 to 1 scale. Oh well - looks pretty good like that!
