@hibernianscribe, thanks for that comment, and I am embarrassed to say my Anglo-numismatic ignorance is showing. It was listed as a shilling in the auction catalog, and the price looked too good. It hasn't arrived yet, so ....

A nearly full red 1898 Victoria Penny. This is my favorite British coin design (after the Gothic Head Florin).

Recently acquired 1717 halfpenny. At 27 mm diameter, it's a tad larger than the 'standard' dump issue (weight 9.84g), but I like it!

One for CoinFrog here - the http://www.changechecker.org site is giving away the Beatrix Potter 2017 "Mr. Jeremy Fisher" 50p's for face value if you send them any other commemorative 50p. Got mine yesterday. The marks on the obverse are traces of the gunk that attached it to the card!
