And one more - I've been buying a lot of British lately - a nearly full red 1914 George V Half Penny.

London was calling again...I had to answer! 1841 Penny - Victoria (No Colon After REG) VF with a rim nick and some minor scattered marks, but good luster 1849 Florin - Victoria, the so-called 'Godless' florin Well-circulated but a somewhat scarcer and collectible one-year type; less than 500k were struck. So named because 'Dei Gratia' or 'D.G.' is absent; the legend on the obverse has 'Victoria Regina' instead of 'Victoria Dei Gratia (or D.G.) Regina' as would be the custom.

An 1848 shilling that I just purchased. Has obverse damage, but I got a good price.

Picked this up for just over half of spot price plus shipping. Those scratches are high-lighted by the lighting angle, otherwise they aren't noticeable. I haven't decided if I will remove the chain loop before I sell it or not.

My wife is a Tudor enthusiast, and as guilt by association would have it, that has expanded to numismatics. So I just picked up this Elizabeth shilling for her:

That's a nice coin - good strike, even flan and not clipped. However may I correct you, it looks like a sixpence (N1997) - no shillings were issued between 1561 and 1582. Also another indicator - no Elizabeth I shillings were dated or had a rose behind the bust. Frank
