MV is not going anywhere just yet, so I'll post the nicer quarters and halves when the date comes. Moe, that was my first "scholarly" article, yet, I managed to make the narrative flow and not too scary. I wanted everyone else to feel free to write what they have learned from their study. Perhaps now you all understand my obsession with nice Barber dimes. SO sorry for my enthusiasm --- NOT! Also, I will eventually post a follow-up to my article re: 1895-O Dime. I had to vindicate myself for buying it. Not one but two dealers said that it may have been cleaned. When I discovered the reason for their "confusion" I wrote another article in the BCCS Journal which, in effect, said: "TRUST YOUR OWN JUDGEMENT!" My experience led me to the conclusion that there exists a certain wear pattern on the reverse of the dime which can be mistaken for cleaning. I just need to gather up some visuals to present my case. Pretty sure that I am correct, though. Post away, ye Barber folk!

A day late, but here is my 1897-O half dollar: I got it in a $100 face value bag of Barber halfs that I bought as junk silver from APMEX last year. I guess the condition wasn't good enough for them to bother pulling out and grading. I just sent it into ANACS, however, and am hoping it will at least grade at G-4...
