A variety of halfpennys with numerous dots.

Firstly a 1943 with a dot after KG
Dots,-Dots-Dots

A 1946 with a dot above the H in halfpenny
Dots,-Dots-Dots on obverse

Another 1946 with many dots on obverse
Dots,-Dots-Dots

And a 1961 with two dots on the obverse
Dots,-Dots-Dots

any info on these would be greatly appreciated

Looks like youve got a few there. I'm not trying to knock them but I've never understood the allure of these dots. I know there is a large following for them though.

Looks like the lazy buggers at the mint didn't oil the dies down over a long weekend and rust ate holes in the dies

Firstly Trout, Mate she better get that lanced quick....Something like that could give her blood poisoning if she's not careful.

On to serious matters, when is a dot a dot and not a Cud.
Taking the original photos as examples I'd say that photo 1 is definitely a dot, (punctuation in the initials) while the other three I's say are more Cuds.

I mean there is not reason I can think of for the mint to put marks on the dies where these are.

Don't get me wrong here, I like all these photos, and would really like to have these coins or similar in my collection. I'm just trying to understand the precise difference between a dot mint mark and a Cud.
