I gotta say I haven't been as excited to pull a coin from circulation in quite some time. I haven't searched small dollars ever, but really want to encounter an Ike and a JFK in circulation here soon.

I figured they were going to be an NIFC dump but unfortunately they weren't. They were all 2010 Fillmores.
Well, at least they look nice.

I few days ago I found a Wide rim 1979 SBA. Unfortunately it is in quite bad condition.

Are SBA's really worth anything today? My Red Book says that Ikes are worth something, but I really don't know about that, as you can still buy them at the bank for face value.

Do you want a set of SBA?

If you answered yes, then they are worth something, otherwise they are worth 25-cents, since most cashiers don't even pay attention and think they are quarters.

Does anybody search through box(es) of small dollars, or are we searching just isolated rolls and teller tray finds (and the stray find in a retail till)? I have only done stray rolls, but I'm thinking of occasionally getting a box. Can't have much worse luck than some of the boxes of other denominations I get.

What are folks finding in boxes? Many proofs/NIFCs? I've not heard of anybody anywhere "finding" a Cheerios dollar. Are there any worthwhile(?!) varieties to be looking for if I were to pick up a box? SBA 1979 wide/narrow rim--anything else? Will the banks even order a box?

I asked for two dollar coins from a teller, and one of them was a 2008-P Sacagawea. This is the second time I've found a 2008 Sacagawea in circulation.

Stopped at a bank this morning that I have only stopped at once before. I don't know why I don't stop more often as they are only half a block away from my weekly pickup bank on Fridays and they are open til 7. Anywho they had some dollar coins: 17 UNC Andrew Johnsons and a proof Monroe.
