Not worth keeping unless you collect rolls, I would open them and spend them but maybe another collector would want them, there are just too many of them hoarded and sitting in bank vaults for those to ever be valuable. Anywho, I got 2 rolls last weekend and I got 2 1999p SBA's I'm still waiting for a 1999d(the last non-nifc small dollar I haven't found yet).

How do you order dollars from US banks? I am from Canada but, I am going to the states in March. I hope to get some 50 cents rolls and dollar coins. DOes anyone have any recommendations for certain banks or how to order?

DOes anyone have any recommendations for certain banks or how to order? I would say virtually every bank in the states has some, and since the demand for them is so low they'll practically beg for you to take them. (at least that has always been the case for me.) If your looking for an entire $500 box of coins, it is extremely unlikely that you could get them all at one bank, but If you visit a few banks you'll find more than you need. Hope it helps! Did I mention I;ve found 2 2007-S prez proofs? While getting coins at the bank, one teller brought one to me and said it looked funny. The other I found in the reject slot of the coin counter.

Found a 2003d yesterday in some vending machine change, and it is a gem! One of the best cartwheel effects that I have ever seen. I'll post pics tonight!

Quote: Can someone tell me if they are worth keeping Murphy, if you don't want them put them on ebay. They are going for about $35 a roll.

Murphy: Those Presidential dollars that you showed the pictures of were from the mint program that was trying to get the public to use the coins and they were a bust. A lot of banks packed them up and sent them back to the Fed and now they are renting space to store them. I was keeping 2 or 3 rolls and still have them. The banks no longer have those type of rolls (at least the ones by me don't) unless they have a customer who turned them in to get some bills. The big draw back to those rolls (from my perspective) is that you just don't know which mint they came from unless you open them up or if you purchase a box directly from the mint at a premium. But if you can pay $25 for a roll from the bank and get $35 from ebay you might have some luck there. But since I don't buy or sell on ebay I don't know what kind of fees you can expect to be paying.
