Can you imagine how many of these they had to examine to be able to piece together the legend? While many exist with more detail than these, seeing half of the coin on one flan is pretty normal.

Thousands if not tens of thousands. Whats amazing is the level of skill and practice required to even attempt to understand what the image is, these took alot of imagination and honestly perfectly struck coins seem to also take a bit of imagination.

I still cant get my head around Greek, I fear I would never get my head around these legends.

Great value for $18 and a nice excuse to now pick up some Kushan coins

There are tons of these gnarly scripts, for me Brahmi is by far the gnarliest, most illegible its almost alien especially on tiny coins. The most beautiful in my opinion is Kharoshti. The easiest to understand...Latin.....Chinese forget it, I don't think I can even try that...I took classes in Japanese and went to Japan for a while and that was hard enough...

I can do anything with numbers and consider myself a conservative 'above average' at most things but I have a major problem with languages, spoken or written.

I just don't get it and never will, its like trying to teach a Kardashian to act like a lady.

Shame as it severely limits the areas I collect.
