And once again Matthew proves himself to be a nuisance! He speaks to the 1837 Seated Liberty half dime and Dime without stars. Having found a decent example of each, he wonders why the Almighty 7070 does not have a hole for them. He was told this past Sunday, "That is a variety and not a type." To which he says, "%#&$^@#!" ANY COIN so different from the rest deserves a separate hole. Not to mention, the absence of the Type II Dollar from the Gold Page. He is and remains not a slave to an album. Rather, he follows his own definition of a type set. (Your opinion may vary.) HAVE FUN KIDS!

I'm doing the same Mathew
It is a TYPE!
A Short Type, but still a Type!
The 7070 is not Almighty... I am collecting one of every type... not one of every type shown in some book that put guidelines on my collecting!

We need a poem! What rhymes with "Dansco 7070"?

A poem? OK!
To celebrate the 7/7 Let's take a break and ponder The many coins throughout the years That cause us all to wonder.
As we begin to post away. With coins which cause much drother. As fill we do the holes so void First one, then next, then 'nother!
But let me post a simple plea To stop. And think a while. For every hole that begs be filled I have to stop and smile. For on the CCF 'tis preached To gather what yea may. No matter which course you may chose Just play it day by day.
A nice coin here, a bad day there. The fun is in the chase. I may be most emphatic, sure. But don't get on my case.
I'll never tell you what to do. Oh my! I would not dare! Just pay me back with same respect And let's us all just share.

What a great start! Here is my contribution for the topic of today; 1804 Spiked Chin Half Cent PCGS F15;  Here is my attempt on the images, the little white dots are on the slab itself, along with a nice die break/cud at "LIBE" on the obverse  ;
