Hi all,

I bought this one about 15 years ago for a buck at a coin show and it's been knocking around in my "unknowns box" since then. Had no luck typing it in Plant which is where I usually start for unnown non-roman and non-byzantine ancients.
Anyone have any ideas? It's a bit off center which doesn't help but it's in fairly good condition otherwise. Coin diameter is 10 mm.

Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks,
John

Barbarous roughly based on Tetricus

Got a few very strange minims myself loosely based on him.

Here, these lots are different however seem to follow the same style as yours:

They remind me a little of barbarous coinage

The script is not Latin and not Greek- if its Greek its badly garbled.

It's garbled Latin to my eyes.

Good call, certainly worth a look, know nothing about Kajula sadly.

Thanks everyone for the help!
Been puzzling on that one for a while. Barbarous radiate makes sense.
The writing is actually upside down, or looks like it is (the base of the letters is nearer the edge of the coin rather than the portrait).
