Thanks for the update, glad to see you are still "questing!"
The Long Island continues to be my favorite. It has a great balanced "look" to its circulation wear.

Very Nice slide show of some very nice circ commems. I like the 93 Columbian. And the 26 Oregon with the almost gone 2.

Many Thanks for the update HONDO ... great additions to your circulated set. I truly enjoyed viewing all the coins together ... I note however your comments ... Quote: The search for these coins is very difficult and can be really discouraging at times Partially agree actually ... truth is I feel every day that the search for these treasured coins is very difficult ... but I have never been discouraged. The very nature of this nearly impossible quest is the thrill of the hunt ... the remote possibility that somewhere out there is a coin that fits ... I choose to view our attempts to complete this set a dedicated collecting goal with a long-term time horizon ... Stay True to the Quest David

David, agreed that this is a long term, even lifetime, pursuit.
Maybe discouraging is not the right word. I really dont know what the right word may be... I just have a fundamental opposition to empty holes in an album and it drives me crazy that I have no control over how long it takes! In all seriousness, I love working on this set and the time between, and the mystery of never knowing what will pop up next, really does make each coin in my collection that much more special.
I hope everyone enjoys my coins as much as I enjoy the collections of the others who chase these beauties.

Great additions!! Love the Booker and the 51 GWC. I have a few lowball commem doubles that you may be interested in, but I do not have the ability to email you.

Hi everyone. I picked up this cool addition to my set last week. Its one of the many Washington Carvers needed for the set, and its a nice looking coin. Nothing earth shattering, but I am very happy to have it! 1953S Washington Carver:

Congrats on the latest find!
Are you working on a Type Set or a complete 144-piece set?

Thanks!
My coins are stored in the 144 coin, 2 album dansco 7095. So, I guess you could say I'm doing the whole 144 coin set, but shoot, that may never happen with coins in circulated condition. I just want to have the option of collecting several nice examples of the different designs should I come across them.
If I'm able to, I may do a seperate and specific type set (possibly registry) but I will always keep the majority of my coins in the album.
Long story short is that I'm doing the 144 coin set but I will just go where it takes me.

Quote: My coins are stored in the 144 coin, 2 album dansco 7095 HONDO is ambitious in that regard and making steady progress towards the goal. I've provided private commentary on this example ... state for the CCF the present addition IMHO is a lovely 1953-S that likely grades VF something ... and would be the current lowball if PCGS certified. Nice addition HONDO ... please keep the updates coming. David

I have an exciting new addition to share! This coin, like the Maine, was purchased from forum member WornOut. Its a really beautiful Missouri, PCGS G04. I broke it from the slab and it is now with the rest of my collection in my dansco 7095 album. I am very happy with this addition. Its got the heavily worn surfaces, but its very clean and has a really beautiful patina and circulation cameo. Thanks for looking!
