Quote:Jeffrose can't buy it because he already has a 1793. It's the one per customer rule . cipster ... Thank you for your knowledge of the rules. I wasn't aware that was the case. I plan on attending the floor auction at the FUN Show and if I have the winning bid I will send you mine. Here's the updated list of members guesses. The current bid is $42,500. The reserve will post 01.02.2013.

I don't believe it'll even go as high as Numismedia says. I mean, seriously, $150,000 at a single coin? However, just to be cautious, I'll stay close to already existing guesses. $147,350 (yeah, I did just transpose these two digits... hard to think of a number sufficiently close but not over-the-top close; and yeah, I know I have pretty much no chance of winning this contest, but what I'm losing anyway?)

My guess is $58,000.00. Yes, just fifty-eight thousand dollars. Ed ANA LM-3175

Its interesting that they decided not to place a reserve on it. They must have some faith.

You know, they DO have a "Take 4 months to pay" Option: Quote: Extended Payment Plan Available on select items as noted on the item page in the bidding area. Minimum invoice total is $2,500. You may take up to four (4) months to pay the balance (monthly payments of at least 1/4th of invoice total). Interest is calculated at only 1% per month (12% annually) on the unpaid balance, and must be kept current. Minimum down payment is 25% within two weeks of the sale date. All down payments made beyond this 2 week window will require a 35% down payment, and the term will be shortened to 3 months. (Note to self: talk to hubby before 6 pm tonight )
