There is a small but dedicated family of collectors who are pursuing a type set of circulated classic silver commemorative ... I have been at that quest for approaching 3 years now. The Battle of Gettysburg Half Dollar is a very difficult coin to find in honestly circulated condition. The low net distribution (26,928 coins) ... coupled to it's sell to collectors at the peak of the 'commemorative craze' ... meant very few ever saw circulation use. This coin is the only circulated Gettysburg I have ever seen ... and I'm thrilled to have it in my growing set. Now in a PCGS VG10 holder ... one of only 6 total Gettysburg certified below AU by PCGS ... and the 2nd lowest ever certified by that service.
