Looks like a thin film of glue on the coin. I think acetone will remove it and answer your question. Let us know how you make out.

It is not glue checked that anyways it is below the surface not above

You are right pretty stubborn glue its back in my pocket to spend thanks it really looked real, I have seen glue on coins that were obvious this looked good fooled me!
