OK, mds... you really asked for it. First of all, I'm surprised no one has yet posted a 'Leopold the Hogmouth' coin. This inbred Hapsburg dynasty fouled both small and large coinage of Eastern Europe for generations. How about three ugly mugs on one coin? Check out those early Teutonic versions of the 'afro' Then of course there is this handsome, stoutly fellow, appearing in one of his many incarnations on the coinage of the German state of Brunswick-Luneburg. On some of the coins, he bends the tree or breaks it in half: I think someone now needs to start a 'Lovely Ladies on Coins' thread as an antidote to this one. btw mds, you should try to find an image of the gold plated proof version of that coin. The guy looks like some kind of exotic bird.

mysilveryears,
That first one is an instant classic. Good thing I wasn't drinking anything at that moment.
triggersmob,
Looks like a bad birth mark or a head puzzle or a bad attempt of an exploded view.

The SBA Obverse may be ugly, but it has an amazing reverse. My vote (for US coins) is the 1995 special Olympics commemorative dollar. @MySilverYears I really like the second coin you posted... Any more information on it?

Methinks SaintRidley is confusing "boring" with "ugly."

@Windchild: That's a Leopold thaler from the Hall mint of Austria. Size = ~42mm. Date '1698' is at the top in tiny characters. These are not extremely rare, and there are a lot of varieties. In this quality they do not come cheaply. Here is a pic of the reverse:

Holy cow, I didnt even know that was Eunice Kennedy Shriver. I didnt really even look at the whole coin and I thought it was some native South American male.

Here is a Conder token from my collection. I affectionately refer to this piece as the "Schnaz". I think the reason why is obvious. This is a rather scarce piece with 75-150 pieces struck (R4). The big-nosed guy is actually the reverse of this piece, but I created the composite image with that side on the left (for emphasis). Quite the honker...
