Hello

My Son and I have recently started to complete a penny collection
I made myself spreadsheet from this site and info from a few others.

However after about a month of heavy roll searching there is a few I cant find and are wondering if I should keep looking

Does anyone know how many were made of:

2006p magnetic type
2003 W P no crown
2001p
1985 pointed 5
1965 (all 4 ver)
1962 (all 3 ver)
1955 (3)
1954 (2)
1953 (2)
1949 (2)
1948 (2)

Or is it likey to find these if the minted amount is unknown

Thanks

One thing to be aware of is that the mint has been actively pulling older coinage out of circulation for a number of years now. Search ARP (Alloy Recovery Program) on this site and you should find the relevant thread(s) discussing it.

p.s. there are also a number of threads with roll-hunting tips to make sure you're not getting the same rolls back again etc.

p.p.s Some varieties are only (or predominantly) found in sets. For example, my 2003 WP is from a proof-like set. I don't know if any exist in circulation or not.

It would be like pulling teeth to find the ones from the sets in circulation. Your best bet is going to be ebay to try and find these ones. However, that being said....keep searching rolls and and stock up on the last day the banks are open. Its still fun to search and most that are on your list can still be found. In the end, whatever you dont have then you buy or trade for. Remember, pick up from particular banks of your choice and drop off at a different branch. That way you dont get them back, but the clock is ticking. Good luck and to coincommunity.
