Now Chrissy and the school hols are over, I had some time - and money - to grab some bags from the bank for a spot of noodling.
Got $100 of 20c; $200 of 50c and $500 of $1

From the 20c bag I scored my first MSO coin, a 1991, as well as a 2004 Pointy A, an ACT 2001 commem - the only one in the 500 coins, and 3x Bradmans.
Other commems were 7x 2005 WW2; 2x 2010 Tax; 9x 2011 Womens and 10x Will + Kates. Also 2x kiwi 20c as well.

Yeah, I was pretty happy with those...
The 50c were a strange lot. Very few States coins, no 1991 Rams, but a bit of sugar in finding not one, 2, 3, but 4 of the National Service 2011 coins. I'm pretty sure these are NCLT's - yes? - but begs the question: who would chuck 4 of these back?
Gee, there may have been more in other bags...and I can't get back to that bank till Monday...!

Maybe a young thief, if that was the case all they would see is 50 cents.

Good finds Penny D.

I guess it could have been thieves, but if they'd nicked a collection, I'd have expected more collectable 50s in the machine bag...
These 4 were the only coins out of the ordinary.

Anyway, my dollar lot had a few of interest, including another rotated 2001 COF - not as nice as the one I got the other day but still a keeper, and these 3 coins:

Noodled-A-Few-Coins-Today....

The 1989 is a non circ year, possibly from a proof set as it has unusual toning - pity I couldn't have saved it from the pond earlier.....
There was a Canberra MM 2007 bridge, and my favourite Cud coin the spew roo from 2010, with bonus backpack Cud.

Awesome finds PD! The Cuds are great, the 1989 is a circulated proof for sure imo and the harbour bridge is special to find in circulation.

Yeah, it is good to find something unusual in a bag of otherwise ordinary coins...I love the thrill of the hunt!!

Here's the 2001 rotated dollar; my third found in circ. Pity I can't find the 20c version as easily, grrrrr.....

The 50 cent 2x2's I use are 35mm size, and the 20 cent are 32.5 mm.
I use 30mm for the $1 coins, as I find the 27.5's are a bit tight and sometimes splits the clear plastic.....

For 50c I use 35mm, and for 20c I use 29mm. Make sure they are PVC free.
