Canadian CRH here and hoping you can let me know if this lincoln should be saved from the RCM's melt bucket.

I haven't had any luck with my searching to see if this is a variety or just a unique example of PMD.

You can view the pictures below, but it seems that there are two thin strips of copper joining the 9 and the 6 in the date.

Thanks for your help and expertise.
