I have been able, with the help of Krause's Standard Catalog of Coins, ascertain the following coins are from Japan.

If my interpretations are correct from said book's photos, etc. images #1-7 are 10 Yen from 1951-1958 (reeded).

The last image #8 I believe is a 50 Sen from 1922-1938.

Could I have assistance is identifying the exact dates for the following ...

Thanks for the input

Good morning,
I have been able to date your Japanese coins and this is what I have ascertained. You are right about the denominations and date period. They are all dated during the reign of Emperor Hitohito who reigned from 1926 to 1989. On the coins his personal name and reignal name are given. On the 10 Yen (¥)coins this is on the left hand end of the symbols under the western (I think it is called indo-arabic) number 10
Coins 1, 4 & 6: Year 28 - 1953
Coin 2: Year 27 - 1952
Coins 3, 5 & 7: year 29 - 1954
Coin 8: year 3 - 1928
Source: Standard Catalog of World Coins. These are a handy though rather pricey book. You can pick them up second hand
I hope this answers your question

Your help is greatly appreciated. Yes, the Standard Catalog of World Coins is rather expensive. It has been, however, a tremendous aid for me as I sort through a plethora of "foreign" coins. I also find it a lot of fun simply perusing the photos and descriptions, from an educational perspective. Good Night!

This catalogue can be had for quite cheap on CD, and it's even possible to get it online and possibly for not much (or even free, cough, cough) which makes it a lot less bulky, though I do prefer the book copy.
