number of "countries" should probably be better described as coin issuing "entities".

up to 233 (i never thought I would get past 150). my 250th will be my first gold coin

Been 2 years, and I've still not hit 150. Instead of waiting for that, I figured I'd just post my latest acquisition, from a friendly russian trader (and here was prejudiced me generalising them all as scammers):
Finally-Broke-100!
Finally-Broke-100!
Highlights being the two coins from North Korea (wasn't expecting to be able to get them very soon) and the coin from Transnistria, a state so unrecognised, it messed up my coin coding system (that used ISO-3166).

So now my collection (excluding those I keep to exchange) has 900 coins, 719 different types from 147 countries (whatever "countries" means :D).

Pretty unimpressive at just 18 countries, but I haven't entered all of my coins, even if it'd be satisfying looking at that map afterwards

Well now that I recently went through my dads old coins during his navy days I will want to try the map thing too! I think so far it is only 7 or 8 countries but will soon be more as my brother in law remembered he won an album of another Vet's world coins as a child at church and he is going to let me have them! No clue what there is in that album! :D

After entering some more coins in my collection I reached 47 countries. And that's not all.

To copy this map I simply right-click the uimage and "Copy image link" and then use the forum's image linking feature.

The problem with that, apparently, is that it disappears after a while.

In other news, finally hit 150! Wasn't expecting to get there so quick, but commemoratives from dependent states definitely helped! :D
Latest acquisitions were from Cook Islands, Falkland Islands, Burundi and Mozambique. I'm too lazy to scan them currently, but here is an updated map:

Congratulation Babar!

I have a hard time with colours (colour blind) but if I am reading this right mot of your coins come from United States of America, United Kingdom of Great Briton and Northern Ireland and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan?

I did one trade on Numista but if you need any modern Canadian shoot me a pm on here and I'll go on Numista.

I really didn't think of it, numista should offer a colourblind mode for the map colours. But that's right, Harmonica, and thanks! 67 from Pakistan (every non-PM coin issued), although numista includes the 12 British India coins in that portion of the map, raising it to 79, 77 coins from the UK, and 75 from the US.
I have 15 coins from Canada currently (have several years of the 1,5,10 and 25 cent coins), be nice to hit you up for a swap at some point just to have every denomination (outside of commemoratives).

Heh. Looks like I too have reached 100 countries. I've got more European stuff, just too lazy to fill in SO MANY of them.
