So I have an Iranian Pahlavi (KM # 1162) and I'm clueless as to the date...I'm probably trying to decipher them in the wrong order. Anyone good with these have a little insight in how to read these?
From Krause: "Iranian coins were dated according to the Moslem lunar calendar until March 21, 1925 (AD), when dating was switched to a new calendar based on the solar year, indicated by the notation SH. The monarchial calendar system was adopted in 1976 = MS2535 and was abandoned in 1978 = MS2537. The previously used solar year calendar was restored at that time." You have MS2536 or 1977.
