So I guess some good advice might be, if you're looking to acquire an expensive pocket piece, pay for it by selling all the couches in your home?

I bet it's in your vehicle, hiding somewhere. I had one of my guys lose a key in the arctic. Three of us searched the truck several times, and didn't find it. A few days later it bounced out of wherever it was hiding into view on the floorboard.

I keep my silver pocket piece ("Simon"; a 1929 Venezuelan 5 Bolivares) rather well batted down in my wallet... but I keep my counterfeit pocket piece ("Morgan"; a 1903-CC base-metal Morgan) just in my back pocket. I have realized that I should find some means to make sure she stays put because sometimes "Morgan" likes to jump out of my pocket when I'm laying down in bed, and then surprise me by managing to stay at 30 degrees below room temperature while finding the small of my back...

Edit: I just realize how silly this sounds... now.
