BLUESZONE... Low blow, but well deserved . I guess somebody has to like the losing teams who make the winning teams look that much better. You're welcome from that aspect. CND... thanks for making the change. Guess they should have a preseason DL...

Quote: basebal21, you live in Virginia, but you like the Padres, something is not quite computing unless you are a San Diego Ex-pat. Navy child, spend my childhood going back and forth between DC and SD. Needless to say I liked SD better. Plus how can you not love a team that had the Crime Dog

Not true! I threw myself under the when I said I was an Astro's fan. And you did the same thing admitting to liking the Cubs. Time will tell, but I personally think that if the 'Stros win 30 games this year, we'll be lucky. Hopefully we can play the spoiler role in the AL West.

Lol Dave it wont be that bad. Generally everyone wins and loses 60 but with their roster I dont see them winning 60, Ill say high 40s low 50s. Somewhere around 20 players make more this year as individuals than their whole team. Not to rub dirt in the wound or anything lol.

Id argue not till 2011, the Frank Robinson debacles were just embarrassing with him sleeping in the dugout and ruining guys like Cordero letting them warmup for innings at a time like he forgot they were there.

I almost hate to admit this sometimes, but I am a lifelong Pirates fan. I saw them win World Series titles in 71 and 79 and I have endured 20 years of suffering. It really hurt last year when the bottom fell out last August. But I am hopeful once again this year. They can't get any worse (well maybe a little now that the Astros have moved to the AL). At least the Steelers have given us good times. I am excited for the baseball season to start. This home run derby will also give me more to root for.

Interesting Pirates fact, they missed out on having Griffey Jr and Bonds in the same outfield by 1 pick and actually had a worse record than Seattle who got to pick first overall. They can thank the Mets for that or something about the Rule 5 draft pick, possibly both I cant remember the whole story just that would have been the sickest outfield ever

Wow, somebody else slamming the "Stros. Why do I feel like home plate after an Earl Weaver tirade? . All I can hope is that some other team finishes LAST in the entire league this year.
