Since the news about Kyra was posted under "Sad News", I thought it only fitting to post the picture of Rachel's new addition, Hayley, under "Happy News". And she is adorable.

Blacky (my old tom cat) says that when Hayley grows up, to send her to Wyoming and he will teach her to kill rats out in the barn. Nice kitten Rachel, you will go to love this one as much as Kyra is no time.

My mom used to say that when a kitten had big ears, it would be a good 'mouser'. So happy hunting to your new cute kitty.

Well I don't know, at this time, whether it is good news or bad news but a little black and white kitten has decided our front porch would be a great place to call home. Don't know if he/she wondered in or if the kitten was dumped. Needless to say our little 3 year old discovered this miracle and Mommy has already bought cat food! What is a man to do? Keeping in mind that I raise Bobwhite Quail and cats and quail just don't mix? Oh well, maybe this kitten will mind his manners?

Terry, as an up and coming "Pillar of the Community", I say adoption is in order. Your only a "name" away from that right now! Mike

Nuisance, my almost-13-year-old kitten says to Hayley, "Welcome to the rat race where the rats never win!" Congratulations, Kyra!

I want to thank Susan for all of her help posting the picture! I'd never get it to work!
Hayley just decided to pose for the picture- she was doing something else cute and I picked up the camera. Just as I went to take the picture she sat up like that just like she knew what I was doing.
I already love her dearly- it was like I was meant to have her! She was totally at home here from the minute I brought her in the front door. As far as being a good mouser, she already kills spiders and other nasty bugs, and she "kills" her toys quite well! Glad you all liked the picture!

There is a reason and purpose for every thing just as there is a reaction to every action. Many a blind man prays for just a few seconds of sight and light yet millions of souls, who can see, walk through the beauty of every day blind! As I say, "It is not important who you love or what you love, it is important THAT you love!"

Couldn't have said it better myself! I don't know if it's karma or what, but I figure Hayley was born right about the time Kyra got sick. Thank you all for indulging me with my "new mom" phase- I've been showing her pictures to anyone who will stand still long enough to look!
