My Rep mentioned that this is a unique piece with the hologram actually in the coin coin and not a sticker etc. And he said it should be the next big thing.

Go ahead and just cancel them..... create an even lower final mintage..... and wait until the future coins come out, better looking, more popular and then get onboard..... You are just creating the rarity of a series..... just like the Canadian Bird $0.25 coins. Who would have thought anyone paying $30 for a nickel color coin that w/ a face value of $0.25 when you can buy an oz of silver for the same cost......

I keep my order of 3 coins, no money tie up until I see the coin. Pack my lunch for a month and that will pay for these 3 coins.

$10/lunch x 21 days = $210 = 3 coins.
I prefer home made food and my wife always make extra anyways.

I believe it will be a good coin in the long run (kind of like a sleeper for the moment).

Most of the sophisticate coins are very hard to render/illustrate and they tend to be flat vs. actual in hand..... the probability that it's better looking in hand is around 75% of the time or more (just my personal thought).

I'm with you guys. I'm keeping mine too. I'm very curious about this coin and can't wait to see it in person :)

BTW, what is meant by "sticker"?

"Isn't that a big gamble though? What if the future technology isn't applied until the 4th or 5th coin? The you've got a bit of an uneven series with 3 not so great coins, and the remaining ones with better technology. "
this reminds me of the birds of canada series. If you look at the early ones from 2007/2008, they don't look that great but that hasn't stopped them from going up in prices.

Has anyone else noticed the new product delay notice for the Dragonfly coin?

"Item 123746: 50-cent 1/2 oz Fine Silver Coin - Twelve-Spotted Skimmer ; July"

Are we ever going to see this coin?
