I recently acquired this Septimius Severus Hermes rev./ Nikopolis with two dimples, but it was a bit of a disappointment because the reverse, in hand, is not quite as good as what the sellers photo showed.
Probably because of the lighting they used to bring out the details. Not so visible in hand or my photo.

Any way I decided to see for myself how the two dimples were oriented to each other front to back.
Made a little drawing to get the photos oriented the same and used one edge of the flan crack as a reference point, then drew up some centers on the computer. I think I got it pretty close.
To me it doesn't appear as though any of the four dimples are in the center nor directly across from each other... obv. to rev.
I'm sure this means nothing but it was fun doing... and helped ease the disappointment.
