I'd say it's a die chip, but I'm not an expert by any means.

Looks like a die chip 2 me 2.

Looks like 1943-S RPM #1 from Wexlers older publication.

Thank you for the ID, this coin is graded by ANACS 1943-S/S MS-64. Local coin dealer thought it was a RPM-001, but couldn't give me a ref to check. Just knew you fine people could help me out.

First photo is of diecrack on reverse dome which is marker for 1943S RPM-001.

The next photo same nickel obverse, note spread on rim lettering and date.
