@ silverwolf, probably a bit early as people can still order them from the Mint (got my 3 today!). Check completed listings to get a better prospective as to the interest thus far....

And personally I think the prices they're asking are a bit too high right now. Lowest is $28 ( shipping included ). And this listing is a 'pre-sale'. There are 250K of these puppies coming out, and they ship them to the US now too. Anyone with a little savvy will order them directly from the Mint.

Mikem: You really can't sell these on ebay for less than $28... the shipping, the ebay and the paypal fees eat up a huge chunk of that margin.
Rest in Peace

Silverwolf asked: "Is it to early or is this coin (wolf) not going to be as hot as everyone was guessing?"

I think there is way too much 20/4/20 overkill. If this coin doesn't do well, it's because people are getting tired of the whole concept. IMHO, however this coin is the nicest since the polar bear and the canoe. Hockey, Rudolf, and Queen - just didn't cut it for me. Still, continued my subscription for a 'lot' on these.

I'd like to do some ordering but the RCM website isn't being very co-operative with me tonight.

Hah, I finally beat it into submission and it took my money!

I know that, but selling these for 40% over list is a bit premature at this time. If they get what they're asking for them, good for them. But I think most buyers will flock directly to the Mint to get these right now.

Once they sell out, it's a whole new ball game.

I don't know what people expect this coin to do. In my opinion it's one of the nicest so far, but it's not going to be worth huge money or anything. When I'm selling them on ebay, I'm hoping someone from outside the USA or Canada buy them. Of course when they sell out it'll help for sure.

@mikem

Why are you questioning the price? I'm not trying to be mean or make a fool out of you, but I think some understanding is needed. If a $20 for $20 coin sells for $29 including shipping the buyer only makes $4.25. $3.75 goes to ebay and paypal. If the buyer sends it with a stamp it costs $.75 + the cost of an envelope. But sending this way is risky since all the buyer has to do is say they never got it and the seller looses his money. Don't forget to take of income tax, lets say 25%, that brings the profit down too: $3.18.

The profit is only 16% but you are going to spend 20 min to create an auction, 10 to 15 min to package and ship the item and in the end you are making less than minimum wage. Obviously the more you sell the better your margins are, but if you intend to sell 200 coins this is becoming a full time job.

Flipping is not as glamorous as it looks. I feel sorry for anybody that thinks this is easy and even more sorry for anybody that sold their coin for under $29 with shipping included.

The $20 for $20 is a series for people who want to collect coins, there are so many of each one that it makes it impossible to flip, the will never appreciate much in value. You may be able to list them on craigslist or take them to a coin show to sell. I think the only way you might may a slight profit is if you have all 8 and sell them as a lot! WIth a mintage of 250 000 there will never be scarce. It is a great way for the new or economical collector to get their hands on some pretty nice coins. The mint will probably end up making a display box for these and retail them for $99.99 and make their profit them (MUHAHAHAHAHA).

I couldn't get on the web site last night so I call and was put on hold, 55 minutes later I got an operator, told her what I wanted,
"I would like to get 6 but I know you can't do that, so I will get 3"

She said "that's OK you can get 6 because you have been waiting so long"

So 1 hour and 2 minutes later I got 6 and $120 lighter and wife not happy. A good night.
