That's just smart. Wouldn't you guys do the same thing if you got that?

Shipping seems reasonable compared to the others I've seen listed. $19.99 for most of the listings.

Quote: That's just smart. Wouldn't you guys do the same thing if you got that? Sure I would - you strike gold you take it for all it's worth. However, misleading potential buyers about the quality or authenticity of a product, intentionally or not, is another thing. Some poor shmuck is going to think he's getting the item of the century, whereas in reality he's only getting an item that was produced in the middle of the pack with no chance of appreciating compared to the others of this series. Is it worth a premium over the others that are up for auction - not on your life. Is it the last box produced - they're still rolling off the assembly line and being shipped out. As always, buyer beware.

It's all advertising "RARE COA #5000"
Mine too is rare, it is the only one with a COA between 1235 and 1237- simply amazing. (eg only - I really don't know my exact COA number) Numbers - are nothing more than type face on a certificate.

Sorry, but I was having a bad day, and this auction just hit me the wrong way at the wrong time. I asked the seller 2 questions
Is the COA for the coin or the box? He said it's for the coin.
I then asked if this was indeed the the last box? He said " I believe it is."
So take that for what it's worth.
Anyways, the seller, to his credit, has revised the listing slightly. Hope he gets a nice windfall from it.

The boxes are not serialized. Anyone paying more isn't looking between the lines.

He also says the next coins are a year away. I thought they were later this year. Anybody confirm?

I believe I read somewhere the second coin is coming Fall 2013 and the third is Spring 2014. I have COA 5127/10000 in the box set does that mean mine came after 5000? Maybe I have a more "rare" set as it is beyond the "5000" mark. Also all my single Mallards are in the 1600's, I should sell all mine as mislabeled rarities .

Man, my 2012 Dollar has some unrepeatable scratch on it, that makes it RARE and unique. But even coffee I can't buy with it in Starbucks.
What so special with this Looney: does it has glass bug on it, or Glow In The Dark effect, or Crystal, or maybe some cool paint? No? Disappointing...
Just a Sterling Silver dollar? Not for serious collector. Why you advertise it in all threads?

Supposedly only 849 made.
I sure hope you're being ironic. A serious collector wants gimmicks and not an silver loonie?

I sure hope you're being ironic. A serious collector wants gimmicks and not an silver loonie? You've got the idea, dialog_gvfAnd this rarity (very low mintage) still not the reason for posting it everywhere. In addition, I think, this is also not the "gem" for the collector. Low population for Uncirculated coin, caused probably by mistake. For the Canada Dollar collectors, that want to have every possible variety - just another problematic item, that hard to get (for normal price).
