I was lucky enough to get him in 2008....he is real BIBO.There are'nt alot of wood ducks in Alberta\ western canada,so for me to get one like that was a very special day in my life....
Ravenzcoin...I'm just as excited about the pintail aswell. They are bar none one of the smartest ducks in the swamp and one of the best looking to boot.Ive shot some nice drakes, but nothing wall worthy yet.
It going to be a long wait for these next two coins!!
cheers,WJ!

Thanks ravenz,
A little off topic.
How to turn a wood duck after hunting, to a nice display sample in house? Does that process cost lot of money?

It does cost a fair amount of money BiBo...If you want to get it done right,by a taxidermist who is an artist at his job.Theres alot of steps the taxidermist has to do to "preserve" the animal....all the hunter has to do is drop off the bird as is after it has been harvested and pay the bill...$400 for the wood ducks....this blue goose I shot in 2011 cost $600 http://i875.photobucket.com/albums/...luegoose.jpg[/IMG

Received 1 of my 3 subs yesterday - box and all the trimmings. Pleasantly surprised that the box came with the first coin this time. My cats are fascinated by the duck call. And of course all the ebay hype starts up again - "SOLD OUT INSTANTLY" seems to be a common theme these days. Not complaining though - $300 for a $70 shell out is a pretty darn good return. ' '

Got mine today! (That's Wed, March 20.) I was really surprised because as of last night my subscription was still "processing" on the Mint website. However, checked just now and it's updated to "shipped" and my credit card is charged. My other coins ordered are still showing processing, and I'm guessing they will ship as a unit--the dragonfly is probably the villain in holding them up! CC-Ottawa, did you ever get your order clarified? Rob

I did. I have two subs (one delivered and one coming) so it's all good.

Check a guy out on ebay Selling 5000/10000 of the duck coin subscription. If there are only 5000 subscriptions and he has COA 5000 of 10000 does that mean he really got the last subscription box?

My box is bit humm... you know if you have hardwood floor at home. Wow, it is the nature of wood . You can't do anything about it plus Mint is sold out. Not like picture shown on ebay, I am wondering how many box are like mine?

3 of my 4 sets are in the 4,000's the other one is in the 6,000's so it doesn't mean he has box #5000, just coin #5000. No real value in my eyes.

Another seller trying to cash in on the recent number madness.
I haven't seen the add, but he only has coin number 5000 of 10,000. The coin numbers bear no co-relation to the subscription number. Looks like he's trying to sell something that's not really there.

It is just the COA of coin is 5000, not the box set.
Unless the COAs paper format from the single coin and box set are different.
I only have the single coin in hand. I do not got my sub yet, so I can't compared both COA papers
