Sudbury is a big nickel mining city. Big Penny next to a cent coin. (Copper) Big Nickel next to its real counterpart. (aluminum) The Big (9 meter) Nickel in Sudbury. Report this Post to the Staff

I think that there was a statue of a replica of the 1951 commemorative 5c piece there in sudbury which this was to commemorate. Report this Post to the Staff

I had a stack of the nickels that I have to my grandpa (they were given out to us as bonuses for doing well on tests in primary school) but I haven't seen one in about 15 years.
