I ordered the 2007 Charleton Guide to Canadian Coins on ebay on April 11th. Book was shipped April 13th via usps media mail. I e-mailed seller April 24th checking on this. Never received a response. Here it is April 27th. The item shipped from CT. Is it normal for such slow shipping from CT? I checked the track and confirm and it has said the same thing, not changing at all. I understand snail mail can take time but I won some coins that shipped from western Canada at the same time and those arrived last week.

If it was shipped media mail it can take up to 3 weeks. I would be more concerned with the lack of response from the seller than not getting it yet.

Should I just keep waiting or try and contact the seller again? It does bother me that I don't get a response. This seller has left positive feedback for me. Shipping was $5.00 and I know media mail for a single book doesn't cost that much. If I asked for first class, they may have asked for a higher fee when $5.00 is more than enough. I am kinda frustrated because I need this book before making anymore purchases of Canadian coins.

A recent book sent to me via media mail took a full month from the time mailed to reach me.

I would try to contact the seller again. The limit for first class is 13 ounces ($3.27, not dirt cheap anyway) so it was probably too heavy. Next choice would have been Priority which could be as high as $8 and change depending on weight and zones.

Media mail probably cost him around $3, maybe more depending on the weight of the book, plus there are no free boxes for MM, so $5 is not an outrageous price. I think Susan does actual postage plus $1 for our MM shipments.

Still haven't got a response from the seller. If the book doesn't arrive today, I will e-mail the seller again.

I didn't receive my package today so I just sent another e-mail. I'm not convinced I will get a response to this one since I didn't get a response on my e-mail I sent on April 24th. I told the seller I was losing my patience and suggested that the package could have been lost in the mail. I am not a happy camper. I am perplexed as to the type of feedback I leave this seller when the time comes. Would a neutral be appropriate?
